I Gotta Figure Out How
By Dan Miraldi

You might not even notice baby
You might not even care
The best nights of my week now honey
Were the ones where you were there
Girl, you are so continental
Hear you’ve been around the world
My friends they try to undermine me and say
You’re not my kind of girl

Then why are you sitting there making eyes at me?
Is the thought of us together too much to believe?
Have I been blitzed by beauty, seduced by your charms?
Well, before the night is over, I’m gonna be in your arms
So now, I gotta figure out how?

You may be out for your birthday party
Girl, I’m out for mine
Let’s turn this into a celebration
Of us having the same sign
Our mutual friend called me an “awkward dancer”
But my shoes say I’ve got style
Perhaps, I’m an acquired taste you might enjoy in a little while?

Why I am I sitting here just making eyes at you?
Are you waiting for me to step up and try to make a move?
My mind is overflowing with things I haven’t said
It’s time to take these words and get them out of my head.
Right now, I gotta figure out how?

Love’s a mystery that’s got the best of me for so long
I want to make you see that it distresses me when the words come out wrong.

You might not even notice baby
You might not even care
The best nights of my week now honey
Are the ones where you are there
A strange sensation overcomes me
But it’s something I can’t deny
We’ll never know how this story ends
If you don’t give me a try

Then why are you sitting there making eyes at me?
Is the thought of us together too much to believe?
Have I been blitzed by beauty, seduced by your charms?
Well, before the night is over, I’m gonna be in your arms
So now, I gotta figure out how?
