Journey Through The Past
By Dan Miraldi

She's got a box she keeps the things she needs most
Pressed flowers and photographs
Memories of the ghosts
Of all the boys who built worlds for her
But she still needed more
Here’s to the helpless hearts
Laid upon on her floor

As the colors blur together into one
Fading slowly with the blackness of the sun
And I am left with memories
Of things that didn’t last
As I stumble on my journey through the past

I was a younger man and I was so naïve
Seems all I learned of love was how it made me bleed
And I’d give it all for you
I’d have died for you
I would have laid it on the line
The little box you stare into
Does it make me cross your mind?

As the colors blur together into one
Fading slowly with the blackness of the sun
And I am left with memories
Of things that didn’t last
As I stumble on my journey through the past

I brought the mountain down
But didn’t see the signs
I scoured every page but couldn’t read between the lines

As the colors blur together into one
Fading slowly with the blackness of the sun
And I am left with memories
Of things that didn’t last
As I stumble on my journey through the past
And I am left with memories
Of things that didn’t last
As I stumble on my journey through the past
