I search for peace of mind

When it’s all too much to carry

Stinging sands of passing time

The road has made me weary 

Midnight coming I don’t sleep

Angel woman don’t you weep

I just ask for peace of mind

When all is helter skelter

Unsure of what I find

As I search for shelter

Blind poet call the tune

Open up or scar the wound

Oracle of setting suns

Ties us down and comes undone

As I pray for peace of mind

In a world slowly turning

I ask for peace of mind

But feel so undeserving
